Each of these 8" x 10" mosaics represents one of Christ's eight Beatitudes. The series is a study in Christian symbolism. The objects, number of objects and colors of objects are symbolic representations of each Beatitude. Materials used are art glass, beach glass, 14K gold leaf, bone china, sterling silver beads, & glass beads.
Each piece of the Beatitude Series was created on a mirrored surface. Behind that is a piece of light weight, foam core backer board glued to a 1/4" piece of MDF fiber board. The backs are finished in gray paint and are wired and ready to hang. The wood moulding frames are permanently attached with an antique silver finish.
